We are looking for a highly skilled and bilingual Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR. This role requires fluency in both English and Japanese to effectively manage our Japanese-speaking employees and liaise with our international partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Japanese-speaking employees, addressing their HR-related inquiries and providing support in Japanese.
  • Translate HR documents, policies, and communications from English to Japanese and vice versa to ensure clarity and compliance for all employees.
  • Assist in the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding for Japanese-speaking staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws as well as company policies.
  • Collaborate with global HR teams in Japan to align on policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and confidential information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a human resources role.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Japanese business culture and etiquette is highly desirable.
