About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, fast-learning Senior AR Accountant to join our growing remote team. This part-time role is well-suited for a driven accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, consistent work.

You'll be responsible for invoicing, collections, data updates in Salesforce, and assisting in an upcoming accounting system migration/implementation project. If you are dependable, tech-savvy, and take pride in delivering high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of invoices in accordance with internal company guidelines
  • Manage accounts receivable, follow up on collections, and promptly resolve any billing issues or discrepancies
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of retrieving transaction data from an in-house platform, validating and formatting the data in Excel to ensure accurate upload into the main accounting system (intermediate-level Excel skills required)
  • Assist in managing and updating data in Salesforce
  • Support the accounting system implementation and data migration project

This role may remain part-time on a permanent basis or transition to full-time, depending on candidate preference and performance. There is opportunity for growth based on your career goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a senior role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, reconciliations)
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is a plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new tools and workflows
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Able to work independently and contribute effectively in a remote team environment

Technical Requirements (Remote Work Setup)

To ensure productivity in a remote environment, candidates must have:

  • A laptop or desktop with at least:
  • Intel i5 processor (or AMD equivalent)
  • 8GB RAM
  • Windows 10 or macOS equivalent
  • Stable internet connection:
  • Minimum 20 Mbps download speed
  • Backup internet source (e.g., pocket Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot) is a plus
  • A secluded workstation to ensure a private and distraction-free space
