About the role

As a Project Accountant at Grand Apex Constructions Inc., you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the company's construction projects. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budget management, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This full-time position is based in Cainta, Rizal.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain detailed financial records and accounts for construction projects
  • Prepare and analyse project budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
  • Monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective measures
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support project decision-making
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and implement continuous improvements
  • Demonstrate proficiency in standard accounting software systems

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project accounting or construction finance
  • Strong understanding of construction industry accounting practices and project management principles
  • Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities
