General Responsibilities:

  • The Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer is responsible for ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget control, and financial reporting across all phases of construction projects. This role supports project feasibility, contract administration, and billing validation, contributing to the company's financial integrity and operational efficiency. The QS/Cost Engineer collaborates with site engineers, procurement teams, and project managers to uphold cost transparency and compliance with Philippine construction standards.

Specific or Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ), and cost breakdowns for bidding and implementation.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved cost plans.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for cost-effectiveness and scope compliance.
  • Validate progress billings, change orders, and variation claims with supporting documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify actual quantities and assess cost-impacting issues.
  • Assist in contract preparation, cost negotiations, and documentation of commercial terms.
  • Maintain updated cost databases, unit price references, and historical cost records.
  • Coordinate with accounting and procurement teams for timely disbursement and cost tracking.
  • Support project close-out by preparing final cost reports and reconciliation summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and construction billing standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management in the construction industry. No experience, No need apply.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willing to do field works.

Place of Assignment: Valley Golf Mansion, Valley Golf, Cainta Rizal.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php19, Php25,000.00 per month
