Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations within the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry standards, and proper management of project-related finances. This role plays a key part in supporting construction project profitability through sound financial analysis and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cost accounting.
  • Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
  • Supervise project cost tracking, job costing reports, and variance analyses to support project management teams.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations, government reporting, and accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies and accounting procedures to maintain financial integrity.
  • Lead, mentor, and train accounting staff to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and operations to support financial decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, project costing, and revenue recognition.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or construction-specific ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor assists in managing the daily accounting operations of the company and ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with construction accounting standards. The role includes supervising accounting staff, reviewing project costs, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll.
  • Review and verify project expenses, progress billings, and subcontractor payments.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze job costing and assist in preparing project profitability reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist in implementing accounting policies, systems, and internal controls.
  • Train and guide junior accounting staff and coordinate with project teams on financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction job costing, billing processes, and accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and supervisory skills.
