Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Design & Integration:

  2. Collaborate with design and project teams to design scalable, secure network architectures for security systems.

  3. Prepare network diagrams, device configuration plans, and technical submittals.

  4. Assist in server sizing and storage planning based on project requirements

  5. Configure and integrate VMS, access control, and intercom systems with IT infrastructure.

  6. Ensure system compatibility with client IT policies, firewalls, and network security protocols.

  7. Implementation & Configuration:

  8. Configure, install, and commission servers, workstations, and security appliances.

  9. Perform commissioning and handover testing of security systems.

  10. Set up and manage domain integration, port forwarding, and VPNs for remote access if required.

  11. Integrate security devices (e.g., cameras, access panels, intercoms) into central software platforms (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Lenel).

  12. Assign IPs, configure VLANs, port forwarding, and ensure network segregation and security.

  13. Technical Support & Maintenance:

  14. Ensure proper configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and PoE infrastructure.

  15. Monitor and maintain health of system networks and cybersecurity controls.

  16. Coordinate with client IT for network integration and domain access (LDAP, AD, etc.).

  17. Provide Level 2–3 technical support for network-related and application-level issues.

  18. Monitor system health and performance using diagnostic and management tools.

  19. Maintain firmware/software updates and patch management across platforms

  20. Conduct root-cause analysis on system issues and performance bottlenecks.

  21. Apply firmware/OS/software updates and system patches.

  22. Maintain system logs and perform regular backups

  23. Technical Documentation:

  24. Create and maintain up-to-date as-built diagrams, configuration files, and SOPs.

  25. Develop user guides and system documentation for handover or audit purposes.

  26. Create and maintain system design documents, IP schemes, and device configuration records.

  27. Prepare technical documentation for client handover including network topology and configuration sheets.

  28. Ensure knowledge transfer to client IT and operations teams.

  29. Client Support & Coordination:

  30. Provide Level 2/3 support for escalated client issues.

  31. Conduct system walkthroughs, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training sessions.

  32. Coordinate with vendors for licensing, warranty, and support escalation.

  33. Enforce cybersecurity best practices and compliance in system configurations.

  34. Coordinate with client IT teams to align with ISO, NIST, or internal policies.

  35. Implement encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms for security systems.
