IT Asset Management Specialist

We're looking for a diligent and detail-oriented IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, tracking, and reporting of all IT assets. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of our asset inventory, maintaining compliance, and supporting various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Asset Tracking & Reporting: Perform daily updates to the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to reflect all IT asset movements. Provide daily high-level summaries on asset status and clean up active working files.
  • Inventory Validation: Conduct daily spot checks of our physical storage inventory to ensure alignment with digital records. Validate all IT Asset reports (Start of Day/End of Day) for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ticket & Asset Monitoring: Monitor daily IT asset tickets to ensure proper tracking and resolution. Validate ongoing configuration and wiping of assets from Emerson's email communications, ensuring details match the physical units and IT asset reports.
  • PC Refresh & Recertification: Validate PC refresh files to ensure all End-of-Life (EOL) machines are replaced as needed. Support the twice-yearly recertification of all IT assets deployed to users.
  • Employee Clearance & Unreturned Assets: Monitor daily clearance processes, updating the e-clearance tool statuses. Track asset statuses and ensure proper unreturned asset policies are implemented, including payroll deductions for unrecovered items. This includes close monitoring of resigned employees to ensure proper surrender of all deployed IT assets.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Generate and validate monthly Intune reports to monitor the compliance of deployed IT assets. Ensure the accuracy of BPI-AIA support reports. Provide a monthly summary of unreturned assets and other EUS action items for risk assessment.

  • Exceptional Attention to Detail: The ability to meticulously track and validate large volumes of data is paramount. Errors in asset tracking can lead to significant financial and compliance issues.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: You must be able to analyze reports, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues without constant supervision.
  • Integrity and Accountability: This role involves handling company assets with high value. Unwavering integrity and a strong sense of accountability are a must. You must be able to enforce company policies, even when it's difficult.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Don't wait for issues to be flagged. You must be proactive in identifying potential problems, such as unreturned assets, and taking immediate action to resolve them.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will be a key liaison for multiple teams. You must be able to clearly communicate asset status, policy requirements, and inventory issues to a range of stakeholders, from IT staff to senior management.
  • Experience with CMDB and Asset Management Tools: Prior experience with a CMDB and other asset management tools is required. You should be comfortable navigating these systems and using them to generate accurate reports.
