Job Description:
As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure that the organization and its deployed workforce comply with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and Cooperative policies. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding both the organization and our member-worker-owners by monitoring compliance with employment standards, contracts, statutory benefits, and industry practices, which include the following, but not limited to:
1. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, government regulations, and Cooperative policies.
- Represent the Cooperative in DOLE-SeNA and NLRC proceedings.
- Monitor labor legislation and liaise with government agencies during inspections and audits.
2. Policy & Implementation
- Develop, review, and implement policies, procedures, and contracts in line with regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and support external reviews for compliance.
3. Risk Management
- Identify compliance risks, investigate violations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Track and document labor cases for governance and legal readiness.
4. Training & Awareness
- Conduct orientations and training on employee relations, labor standards, and DOLE updates.
- Guide operations on handling disciplinary and grievance cases.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate compliance records and case files.
- Provide management with regular reports on labor risks, case trends, and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Solid knowledge of the Labor Code of the Philippines, DOLE regulations, and manpower industry practices.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in compliance, labor relations, or HR within the manpower or staffing industry preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies.
