AU Bookkeeper with Payroll and SMSF

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Payroll Management (AU Clients):

  • Experience handling multiple payrolls simultaneously

  • Strong background in SMSF (preferred)
  • Accurate processing of timesheets and data entry
  • Calculations for higher pay, back pay, termination pay (redundancy, settlement agreements, etc.), and tax adjustments
  • Setting up new employee records in payroll systems and verifying personnel file details
  • Reviewing payroll exception reports for accuracy
  • Distributing payslips and managing STP reporting

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Invoicing, Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and reconciliation of BAS & IAS
  • Xero set-up for new entities
  • Preparation of annual accounts
  • Payroll & payroll tax reconciliation
  • Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience (strictly AU experience required)

  • Systems Knowledge:

  • Xero

  • Micropay or MYOB
  • ReceiptBank / Dext
  • Hubdoc
  • Microsoft Office/Applications
  • ATO website
  • Superannuation clearing houses
  • Other accounting software
