Job Summary

The Cash Operations Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying, and accurately recording cash collections from various sources, ensuring proper handling, compliance with accounting policies, and reconciliation with monitoring dashboards. Additionally, the role supports audit documentation, reports discrepancies, assists with special projects, and provides cash management support to other offices when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives remitted cash and cash collection receipt from the cash dispatcher. In the absence of the cash dispatcher, receives that remitted cash from the field collector
  • Accurately sort, count and verify large sums of money received through various channels such as cash, checks, and electronic transfers.
  • Encode data and maintain precise records (like daily trigger logs, bank CIV, and eTap and ecPay monitoring dashboard) of cash management- , including incoming and outgoing funds (e.g. to pay the billers, petty cash and etc.), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures and standards
  • Verify daily kiosks record from the eTap and ecPay monitoring dashboard vs actual cash collected to ensure that the physical cash on hand matches the recorded amounts in eTap and ecPay monitoring dashboard
  • Report discrepancy to immediate superior to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures and standards.
  • Assist the superior in providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  • Provide cash management support to augment the manpower requirement of other offices when needed.
  • May be assigned to handle special projects such as e-Puhunan, and etc. that would require completion of end to end process within the established standards
  • Safely handle and secure cash, ensuring proper storage and adherence to internal control procedures.
  • Compliance with eTap's safety, security, and information security protocols.
  • Perform other job-related functions or duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with accounting courses/units.

Professional Experience

  • 0 to 1 year of working experience.
