Job Summary:

The Selling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily selling operations, ensuring category profitability, and promoting a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong leadership, sales acumen, and hands-on management of both merchandise and staff. The Selling Supervisor works closely with the Inventory Controller/Store Officer for Inventory, and Purchasing Manager to achieve store sales goals and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Category Management

  • Achieve sales targets and ensure profitability for assigned categories.
  • Plan and implement strategies to increase category sales and customer engagement.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure timely replenishment of stocks.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards in the selling area.

Marketing & Promotions

  • Implement marketing activities and promotional campaigns accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure proper display and execution of promotions.

Customer Service Management

  • Provide excellent customer service and promptly resolve complaints or concerns.
  • Ensure a pleasant and satisfying shopping experience for all customers.

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Supervise, train, and schedule sales clerks, merchandisers, and other sales support staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient selling area.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and people management skills
  • Ability to meet sales targets and motivate a team
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
