HR Employee Relations Specialist

The HR Specialist supports the Assistant Manager - Employee Relations in ensuring that the company and its employees are compliant with the Employee Handbook, Code of Discipline, and DOLE Occupational Health and Safety Standards. The ER Specialist performs a variety of duties to promote employee welfare, such as resolving human relations problems and promoting employee health and well-being. This person also evaluates and resolves human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems, and meets with management to determine appropriate action
With at least 5 years of related work experience of a related industry of notable size, complexity, and significance.
With at least 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience.
At least certified as DOLE Occupational Safety Officer and/or First-aider.
Highly knowledgeable of all government regulations (DOLE, OSH) and compliance requirements related to employment in the Philippines.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate effectively at all levels
Very Proficient in MS Office applications.
Knowledge of retail organizations' systems and processes is a plus.
Experience managing several tasks and priorities and exercising independent working
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will work with the Asst. Manager, Employee Benefits in implementing Company policies and in ensuring employees are knowledgeable of the company's code of discipline and employee handbook.
Work hand-in-hand with employees, supervisors, and managers to ensure the company's compliance with the employee handbook and code of discipline.
Conducts Annual Workplace compliance pieces of training eg. employee handbook orientation and code of discipline, occupational safety, and health standards, etc.
Will assist in drafting company policies related to occupational health, safety, and compliance.
Attends and resolves any employee performance or behavioral issues/ challenges raised by employees and escalates to Asst. Manager, Employee Relations for complex cases covering the whole employee lifecycle - onboarding, movement, and offboarding.
Onboarding - termination of probationary employees.
Enrollment in Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Issuance of disciplinary action and sanctions.
Termination of employment for just cause and authorized causes.
Collaborates with employee's immediate manager in conducting investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, industrial/labor relations (IR), and monitoring compliance programs.
Will help prepare in drafting employee notices/memos eg. Notice to Explain, Notice of Administrative Conference, Notice of Decision for the review of the Asst. Manager, Employee Relations and sign-off of Associate Director, HR.
Prepares and submits accurate HR reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly in order to provide information to the immediate head.
Attrition Report
Employee Case Monitoring Report - performance, behavioral
any other ER-related reports.
Participates in workgroups/projects where ER expertise is required.
May perform other tasks as assigned.
