JOB DESCRIPTION:
Alter Domus is one of the world's leading users of real estate fund accounting software, servicing 26 of the 30 largest real estate firms globally from offices across over 20 countries. Due to continuing growth we are looking for Real Estate Systems and Process Manager to join our Yardi Real Estate Platform Team.
The Real Estate Systems and Process Manager is responsible for leading the development of systems and business solutions and will work directly with business users and software administrators to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment. The Real Estate Systems and Process Manager acts as key point of contact for the business applications, the BA has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and is versatile at juggling multiple tasks and projects concurrently. The Analyst is a self-starter, quick learner, capable of grasping new concepts quickly and will consistently deliver results in a client-focused culture.
An ideal candidate has strong communication and organisation skills, excellent attention to detail. They will also be comfortable explaining technical concepts to stakeholders. Investment fund related accounting and technology experience is essential, preferably in a Private Equity or Real Estate related role. Experience of Yardi is highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert for Real Estate Fund Administration and Real Estate Technology, interact with Business Unit leaders and the Yardi Technical Support team & management.
- Pro-actively monitor and work on the issues and/or requests from users, demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
- Drive client/fund implementation projects to completion according to project plans; maintain awareness of the full scope of client needs with ability to pro-actively address needs and implement the requests.
- Lead system upgrades and deployments, including create and/or support project planning, arrange and perform UAT, ensure documentation, etc. to obtain target objectives.
- Work with FA Leadership to review, suggest, and implement process improvements. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in automation and contribute ideas for improving existing processes and tools.
- Identify, create, and execute efficient project plans and client facing deliverables. Understand and articulate the Implementation Process and translate client information into actionable tasks.
- Demonstrate communication skills required to confidently interact with internal accountants, technology team, and external clients required to successfully archive the objectives.
- Assist in the design and implementation of team training materials/plans and ensure team is adequately trained in a set time frame while giving appropriate feedback to trainees and trainer on gaps that need addressed.
- Manage workload and human resource aspects of junior staff in region.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Technology or related field;
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience with Real Estate or Private Equity accounting & technology, including fund admin, business analysis, project management;
- Experience of managing multiple simultaneous projects;
- Experience of automating business processes, analysing data;
- Expertise in coding and scripting by using languages like SQL, knowledge of e.g. VBA, PowerBI, Python is preferred;
- Experience of supervising and reviewing the work of more junior colleagues;
- Proficiency in motivating and directing business stakeholders to implement and execute project deliverables according to objectives;
- Diplomatic yet result-driven communication style;
- Ability to provide proactive, well-organized, and clear reports to management to track project progress;
- Experience with Yardi is highly advantageous;
- Strong understanding of fund administration activity;
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage.
