Job Summary
The Business Development Officer is responsible for generating sales by actively engaging with potential customers, promoting products or services, and closing deals. This role requires strong communication skills, a persuasive sales approach, and a deep understanding of the products or services being offered. The Business Development Officer will be responsible for meeting sales targets, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Operations
- Proactively seek and engage potential customers through in-person visits, phone calls, and online platforms.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospects, understanding their needs and recommending suitable solutions.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate terms, and close deals with potential clients.
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely follow-up to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas as set by the sales manager.
- Track sales performance, customer interactions, and market conditions, providing regular updates to management.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and other conditions with customers to maintain positive relationships and close deals.
- Mentor newly hired Business Development Officer (BDO's), assisting them in understanding the sales process, company products, and client engagement strategies.
- Guide new hires on best practices in sales and payment collection, ensuring they are fully integrated into the company's sales approach.
Payment Collection and Coordination with AR Team
- Ensure timely and accurate collection of payments from assigned accounts.
- Regularly follow up with customers to remind them of outstanding payments and facilitate collection.
- Collaborate closely with the AR team on billing matters, ensuring payment discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Provide detailed reports on payments collected, outstanding balances, and customer feedback on billing.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment issues or concerns and escalate unresolved issues to the AR team as needed.
Product and Market Knowledge
- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products/services, including features, benefits, and pricing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market changes to enhance sales strategies.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide insights and feedback to the sales team and management on market conditions and evolving customer needs.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit key reports, including: (Weekly Business Reports, Weekly Sales, Collection Reports and Weekly Sales Expense Reports)
- Track and analyze sales performance, customer data, and payment collections to ensure targets are met and suggest improvements where needed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all company policies, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports as required by the department leader.
- Report any safety incidents to management promptly and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and company policies to protect employee and company information.
- Report any incidents relating to violations of company rules and regulations to management.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development to stay current with best practices and industry trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably in Business, Marketing, or any 4-year course.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in relevant fields.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php16, Php20,000.00 per month
