Manila Water Foundation (MWF) is a non-stock, non-profit organization accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) and recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Leveraging on the Enterprise's business expertise in water and sanitation, we at MWF reach out beyond the business' concession area (Metro Manila East Zone) to serve the entire archipelago.

To make a meaningful impact, we focus on an Integrated WASH Program—a holistic intervention of water access, sanitation and hygiene education (WASH) services, intended to improve the lives of marginalized communities. We use a people-centered approach that empowers community leaders to own the transformation within their areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement relevant Water Access, Sanitation, and Hygiene education (WASH) programs and interventions of the organization to bring meaningful and sustainable impact to the marginalized communities and institutions in the country.
  • Contribute to program design and development
  • Put together a workplan, monitor and report program updates using Gantt Charts, graphs, tables and similar diagrams, to organize and  summarize data and information
  • Draft program policies that will be implemented by program partners and/or beneficiaries
  • Ensure that WASH guidelines are practiced and complied with
  • Organize key activities and milestone program events and engagements
  • Facilitate focus group discussions and technical working group meetings
  • Facilitate capacity-building activities
  • Identify community strengths and needs
  • Initiate and conduct technical and social assessment and survey, wherein results will be used to develop a customized WASH program intervention plan
  • Support in the entire program cycle and ensure deliverables are in line with strategies, budgetary and financial targets
  • Maintain and update program records and documents
  • Capture learnings from program execution
  • Monitor budget utilization
  • Coordinate and work with beneficiaries and program partners on program activities
  • Establish and sustain relationship with beneficiaries and strategic partners
  • Endorse leads to potential program partners and beneficiaries

Qualifications

  • Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
  • Preferably with technical experience in water supply and sanitation infrastructure development
  • Preferably with relevant experience in program management of social development projects
  • Willing to travel and do field work, even in remote areas of GIDAs (Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas)
  • With personal passion and mission to directly contribute to social development
