The Business Development Officer is responsible for originating, developing, and converting business opportunities for JCVA across the construction and real estate value chain. The role focuses on relationship-driven selling, account penetration, and strategic pursuit management within developers, property owners, multinational occupiers, industrial and logistics players, and institutional clients.

This role is best suited for an extroverted, highly networked professional with prior exposure to the construction, real estate, design, or engineering sectors, who is comfortable engaging senior decision makers and representing JCVA in industry forums and client environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Origination and Lead Generation

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in:

Property developers and landowners

Industrial and logistics companies

Retail, hospitality, and corporate occupiers

Multinational companies expanding in the Philippines

Leverage personal and professional networks to open doors and secure introductions.

Maintain an active pipeline of qualified leads aligned with JCVA's service offerings.

  1. Client Relationship Management

Build and sustain strong relationships with key client stakeholders including CEOs, COOs, Heads of Construction, Real Estate, Facilities, and Project Directors.

Act as the primary point of contact during early engagement and pursuit stages.

Coordinate closely with delivery teams to ensure continuity from pursuit to mobilization.

  1. Proposal and Pitch Support

Work with internal technical teams to:

Develop tailored proposals, capability decks, and fee submissions

Articulate JCVA's differentiators clearly and credibly

Support client presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.

Track proposal status and follow through until award or closure.

  1. Market Intelligence and Strategic Support

Monitor market activity including:

New developments, expansions, and capital programs

Competitor movements and positioning

Provide insights to leadership on emerging opportunities, client trends, and partnership prospects.

  1. Brand Representation and Networking

Represent JCVA in:

Industry events, conferences, and forums

Client meetings, site visits, and social engagements

Act as a brand ambassador, reinforcing JCVA's image as a trusted, professional, and high-caliber consultancy.

Key Deliverables and KPIs

Qualified leads generated per quarter

Value of active and won pipeline

Conversion rate from lead to awarded engagement

Number of strategic accounts actively managed

Client meetings and senior-level engagements conducted

Contribution to revenue growth targets

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in:

Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Business, Marketing, or related field

3 to 7 years of experience in:

Business development, sales, or client acquisition

Construction, real estate, design, engineering, or consultancy sectors

Proven ability to build relationships and close professional services engagements.

Preferred Background

Experience working with or selling to:

Property developers

Corporate real estate or facilities teams

Construction firms, PM/CM consultants, or design firms

Existing network within the Philippine construction and real estate industry.
