Business Development Manager

Job Objective:
Drive business growth and sustainability by managing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, supporting crew training efforts, and strengthening PHILCAMSAT's global presence in the maritime training industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance crew training initiatives of the group.
- Build and strengthen relationships with principals/clients to boost revenues.
- Minimum 1-2 years of client relationship management experience is required.
- Manage key clients, close projects, and support the BD team with technical data and updates.
- Act as a subject matter expert during client engagements and industry meetings.
- Basic awareness of maritime industry knowledge is essential for this role.
- Identify and source new projects from targeted market segments, including foreign clients.
- Oversee special BD projects involving PTCI and other affiliates.
- Monitor industry trends (regulatory, political, technological, competitive) and apply insights to strategy.
- Develop and implement marketing activities, including social media and website management, in coordination with CORPCOM.
- Implement reporting systems on opportunities, leads, client visits, and sales performance.
- Support cost-efficiency and profitability efforts through R&D and innovative promotion tools.
- Ensure administrative tasks of team members are properly monitored and complied with.
- Attend industry events and represent PHILCAMSAT in the global arena.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- Minimum 1-2 years of business development experience in maritime/shipping industry is required.
- Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and policies.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Address non-conformances and implement corrective actions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Maritime, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management, preferably in the maritime, training, or education sector.
- Strong client management, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and trends in the maritime sector is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of digital marketing/social media tools is a plus.
- Willing to travel locally and internationally as required.
