Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling

  • Provide business case support and financial insights to guide investment decisions and strategic initiatives

  • Monitor key financial trends and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with company goals

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee general operations of the finance unit, ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Supervise accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with standards and regulations

  • Manage statutory reporting and ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements

  • Support operational cash management to ensure there is sufficient short-term and long-term working capital

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, auditors, regulatory bodies, business partners, and banks/financial lenders

  • Represent finance in cross-functional initiatives and interdepartmental collaborations and provide guidance to the operations team in support of the Regional Operations Head

Risk and Compliance Management

  • Lead risk management efforts, including financial risk assessments and internal controls

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and legal requirements across financial operations

  • Ensure compliance with financial covenants and other requirements of the Project Finance loan agreements

  • Ensures the organization complies with all tax regulations and maximizes tax savings to support financial stability.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

  • Drive performance reviews, succession planning, and capability development within the finance function

Special Projects and Business Support

  • Support business units in evaluating new projects, capital expenditures, and renewable energy investments

  • Raise debt capital from time to time to support the financial resources of the business units

  • Provide financial leadership in regulatory filings, such as ERC submissions and project forecasts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any business-related course. CPA and/or graduate studies preferred

  • At least 10 years of work experience as a finance professional, with emphasis in accounting, corporate finance, internal audit, or related fields. At least 3-5 years in a managerial capacity

  • Strong leadership skills with experience working in a demanding environment and demonstrate experience with strategic planning, issue resolution, and key negotiations.

  • Strong business acumen and pragmatic approach

  • Ability to lead internal reviews and assessment across organization to determine business and financial choices required to achieve objectives and goals

  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk based on company and industry guidelines; ability to build and motivate high performance teams

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, especially with senior level management

  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, discounted cash flows, and IRR calculation.

  • Knowledge of the Philippines energy sector, and renewable energy projects is a plus

  • Willing to occasionally travel within the Philippines, at least quarterly.
