Position Summary
The Trust Banking & Institutional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with institutional clients, including pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, corporations, foundations, and government entities. This role focuses on promoting trust and fiduciary services, investment solutions, and other institutional banking products. The incumbent will drive business development, relationship management, and client service excellence to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional and trust clients, providing expert advice on fiduciary, custody, and investment products.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with institutional investors, ensuring their financial and trust-related needs are met effectively.
- Conduct regular portfolio and relationship reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the bank's trust and institutional business.
- Identify, target, and onboard new institutional clients through direct prospecting, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
- Cross-sell a broad range of trust and banking services, including asset management, custody, escrow, and pension administration solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that address client objectives.
Product & Market Expertise
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of trust structures, custody operations, investment products, and institutional banking services.
- Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance or create new trust and institutional offerings.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure all client activities and documentation comply with regulatory standards, internal policies, and fiduciary obligations.
- Support the onboarding and due diligence process for institutional clients, including KYC, AML, and compliance reviews.
- Monitor account activity and ensure adherence to operational and risk management controls.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Partner with relationship managers, investment teams, and operations staff to deliver seamless client service.
- Coordinate with the legal, compliance, and operations teams for the execution and administration of trust agreements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred, e.g., CFA, CTFA, CFP).
- Candidates with an SEC License or a Certified Treasury Professional, are also welcome to apply
- At least 1 year of experience in trust banking, institutional sales, asset management, or custody services.
- Proven success in developing and managing institutional client relationships.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of trust structures, investment instruments, and fiduciary regulations.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and client service orientation.
- Analytical mindset with sound understanding of financial markets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, financial analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
