Senior Accountant (AU Client Accounts – Xero / BAS / Payroll)

Location: Remote (open to applicants from any province – future onsite options in Dumaguete, Iloilo, and other regional hubs)

Compensation: ₱45,000 – ₱75,000 / month (based on verified AU accounting experience and technical skills) + 13th month + HMO after 90 days

Engagement: Full-time, long-term only

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9 AM – 6 PM Sydney time (40 hrs min)


About the Role

Countive Inc. is expanding its Australian accounting and shared-services team, building a remote-first workforce that will evolve into regional provincial hubs over the next 12 months.

We're hiring Senior Accountants to support Australian clients across construction, consulting, and professional services industries.

You'll manage BAS/IAS, EOM reporting, payroll, and system improvements, overseeing AP/AR and making improvements while collaborating with client and corporate service teams.

This role is ideal for accountants who value accuracy, accountability, and long-term career development — or those who have these skills and want to work unsupervised or full time for a client for consistent salary. WFH (depending on client preferences) positions are available.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare BAS / IAS and ensure accurate, timely month-end reporting.
  • Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Manage AP/AR, journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Process end to end payroll (AU) and ensure compliance with local standards.
  • Maintain Xero workflows, templates, and reports. Understand or can suggest Xero API or add ons to improve workflows.
  • Build or maintain Excel-based financial workbooks, reconciliation sheets, schedules and dashboards.
  • Document processes and contribute to SOP creation when required.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, leadership, and peers to resolve issues fast. Take ownership of your work.
Ideal Candidate Profile

6 + years experience with Australian accounting

Skilled in Xero (2 + years) and advanced Excel skills (Power BI, SQL, Dashboards, Other advanced skills take preference over intermediate skills like VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, etc)

Strong communicator who owns their tasks and deadlines

Comfortable working remotely, or on site (if required by client) with fast response and accountability (assume client laptop or company laptop may be provided for these senior roles)

Excited about future onsite leadership roles as Countive expands regional hubs
