About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Tax & Compliance Assistant Manager (CPA) to lead our client's tax compliance function and ensure strict adherence to BIR regulations, CAS (Computerized Accounting System) requirements, and statutory laws. This role will be the company's primary lead during BIR audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the application of best practices across all 430 branches nationwide.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in tax planning, compliance monitoring, audit readiness, and process improvements, while also supervising and developing the tax compliance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all BIR returns (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, Documentary Stamp, etc.).
  • Lead and oversee CAS compliance readiness, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Review, validate, and approve tax computations, reconciliations, and returns prepared by staff.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during BIR audits, coordinating with internal teams, external auditors, and consultants.
  • Provide tax advisory, updates, and planning support to minimize risks and liabilities.
  • Supervise and mentor the Tax Compliance Team, providing training and technical guidance.
  • Ensure that withholding and collected taxes from all branches nationwide are properly remitted and recorded.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements in line with the latest BIR rules, accounting standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Strong expertise in Philippine tax laws, BIR requirements, and CAS compliance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax and compliance.
  • Proven experience in handling BIR audits and liaising with regulators.
  • With supervisory experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Kapitolyo, Pasig from Mondays to Fridays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php50, Php60,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kapitolyo 1603 P00: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Philippine taxation and BIR compliance: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPA (Required)

Work Location: In person
