We're Hiring: Game Artist / UI Designer (Rockwell, Makati City)

We're seeking a Game Artist / UI Designer to create visually engaging and user-friendly designs that bring our games to life. If you're passionate about crafting polished visuals, intuitive interfaces, and cohesive player experiences, we'd love to meet you.

Role Overview

You'll collaborate with our game developers to produce art assets and interface designs that enhance gameplay and player engagement. Your role bridges the gap between art direction and usability, ensuring our games are not only fun to play but also visually compelling and easy to navigate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality 2D game assets, including characters, environments, icons, buttons, and visual effects
  • Design intuitive user interfaces such as menus, HUDs, scoreboards, and in-game prompts
  • Establish and maintain a consistent art style across all visual elements of the game
  • Collaborate with developers to implement assets seamlessly into the engine (Unity, PhaserJS, or similar)
  • Work closely with product and UI/UX teams to translate gameplay requirements into clear visual experiences
  • Create mockups, storyboards, and prototypes to visualize interface flow and player interactions
  • Optimize assets for performance without sacrificing quality
  • Provide creative input on game aesthetics, feedback animations, and player onboarding visuals
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in game art or interactive design
  • Strong skills in 2D digital art using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate
  • Proficiency in designing UI layouts and components in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools
  • Solid understanding of color theory, composition, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience collaborating with developers to integrate art assets into game engines (Unity, PhaserJS, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and in-game navigation flow
  • Ability to adapt to different art styles and follow creative direction
  • A portfolio demonstrating both artistic skill and UI design capability
Bonus Points
  • Experience creating animations or particle effects (Spine, DragonBones, or After Effects)
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling tools such as Blender or Maya
  • Familiarity with mobile game optimization and responsive scaling
  • Experience working on casual or arcade-style games
  • Ability to contribute to branding and promotional design (icons, banners, marketing assets)
