Role Overview:

The Collections Analytics Lead will be responsible for overseeing the analytics function within the UnionDigital Bank Collections Tribe, leading a team of Collections Analytics Specialists. This role will focus on driving performance insights, developing data-driven strategies, and optimizing collections processes to improve recovery rates while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Collections Analytics Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching to ensure individual and team goals are achieved.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Design and maintain reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor Collections performance, delinquency trends, and portfolio health.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive decision-making for senior management and collections operations teams.
  • Establish and track KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with Collections leadership to develop and refine collection strategies based on data insights.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contact strategies, segmentation, and risk-based approaches.
  • Support the testing and implementation of new initiatives through data modeling and post-implementation analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure collections activities are both effective and compliant.
  • Present findings and recommendations to executives and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Continuously assess and improve analytics methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Explore automation, machine learning, and advanced analytics techniques to enhance forecasting and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, ideally within collections, credit risk, or financial services.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to translate data into strategic insights and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of debt collection regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
