We are seeking a diligent and responsible Steward/Utility Worker to join our Kitchen Operations team. The Steward/Utility Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, handling dishwashing, assisting with food preparation tasks, and ensuring that all kitchen tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware, ensuring they are available for chefs and cooks as needed.
  • Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including floors, counters, and workstations, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including food scraps and recycling materials, to maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and minor repair of kitchen equipment, reporting any major issues to the Kitchen Head.
  • Compliance: Follow all kitchen safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance with local health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; training in food safety is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a cloud kitchen or commercial kitchen environment.
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
