Server Administrator

The Server Administrator ensures availability and reliability of any equipment categorized by data center components, computers, network components not limited to servers, storage, network and router equipment in the medical center. This includes management of infrastructure security, server load balancers, web application firewall. Including upstream, providers, etc. The accountability list specific to the individual will be provided by the hiring manager. Oversee Vendor related metrics and performance as required.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the availability, reliability, and stability of IT services to meet target SLAs.
• Monitor alerts and errors to ensure IT service availability.
• Resolve tickets, including initiating resolutions for critical alerts and errors, within target SLAs.
• Perform system or firmware upgrades to address appliance security vulnerabilities.
• Perform system updates to address server and storage security vulnerabilities.
• Manage and maintain the vSphere environment, including patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and capacity planning.
• Provide support for VMWare vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines (VMs), diagnosing and resolving issues related to performance, connectivity, resource allocation, and high availability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to storage performance, connectivity zoning, and replication.
• Plan and implement solution plans for permanent fixes to incident or problem-related issues to achieve target service levels.
• Generate reports on day-to-day operations for monthly and quarterly summaries.Participate in technical training to support development and continuous innovation.
• Engage in long-term project planning to provide support and maintain operational stability.
• Consult and inform the section/department manager regarding operational or project activities that require attention, such as incidents, needed resources, or information.
• Participate in disaster recovery or business continuity planning, testing, and execution.
• Escalate incidents and problems to vendors as needed.
• Perform backups and manage access to IT service-related components.
• Adhere to organizational, information technology, and security policies and quality procedures.
• Attend project management tasks and other department activities to provide support and assistance.
• Recommend enhancements to work processes, outputs, and standards in collaboration with other departments or sections, in line with best practices.
• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 4 years' experience in an organization with a large level, 24x7, mission critical operations environment supporting enterprise systems.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux Operating Systems Administration, or Networking and Routing
• Good verbal and written communication and listening skills; computer literate, detail-oriented and meticulous, accounting-related technical skills and knowledge; basic program facilitation, presentation skills, knowledgeable in software development life cycle, knowledgeable in training needs analysis, conceptualizing training plan and assessment of training programs. Ensuring maximum efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility and responsiveness to the assessment, design and implementation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
