As a Systems Administrator you typically install, upgrade, and monitor software and hardware. You may also be involved in data backup and recovery. You also usually maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, PCs, local and wide area networking both hardware and software and mid-range server hardware.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor Java Management Console threshold of Live Threads, CPU
  • Usage and memory utilization of System Applications.
  • Monitor Oracle Enterprise production database sessions.
  • Document analysis and incident reports of outages.
  • Send report of live threads and memory utilization every hour.
  • Monitor and perform reboot of JMS online printer and JMS production server.
  • Monitor SQL developer session queue in Company's Databases.
  • Document every uncommon session and outages.
  • Perform spanning tree once outages encountered.
  • Inform Systems Administrator 2, Helpdesk and IT Managers once outages encountered.
  • Email to the corresponding team an AWR Reports, Thread Dump and screenshot once outages encountered.
  • Perform and follow remediation steps for common outages.
  • Monitor java virtual machine and perform thread dump once high threads encountered.
  • Deploying scripts in database production and non-production environment.
  • Troubleshoot servers and database issues, production and non-production environment.
  • Perform a progressive decision work around before any issue come up on the production environment.
  • Deployments of WAR and JAR files in Non-Production Environment.
  • Attending user request or issue via phone, ticketing system, or via email.
  • Responsible on attending and resolving any issues or request encountered in Production and Development Environment.
  • Responsible for monitoring and checking of daily production backups of database production servers.
  • Perform Database Backup and Data dump request to Development Environment.
  • Responsible for configuration and testing of newly provisioned server (Linux and Windows).
  • Responsible for managing Jenkins Application such as creation/adding and configuration of applications and users.
  • Responsible in Deployment of WAR files in Production and Development Environment via Jenkins.
  • Responsible for managing and monitoring of the Integration interface such as Mirth Application
  • Responsible for managing Printer Servers such as installation and configuration.
  • Responsible for managing VMware (vSphere Client) applications such as reset or restart OS level of Production and Development Environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closelyrelated field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Should have 1 year and above of systems administration or related work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge in MSSQL, MYSQL, and Oracle.
  • Familiar with any standards or methodologies and use as practice in their previous company such as ITILv3 or v4.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Willing to work on-site.
  • Amenable to work in shifting schedule

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
