Country Manager

About the Role:

As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the Philippine operations. You will play a key role in expanding our client's market share, optimizing end-to-end supply chain solutions, and ensuring world-class customer service. This position requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in freight forwarding, international logistics, and business development within the Philippine and Southeast Asian markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Philippines office, ensuring alignment with global business objectives
  • Oversee full-spectrum freight forwarding operations, including air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to acquire new clients, retain existing accounts, and maximize revenue growth
  • Lead, coach, and empower high-performing teams across sales, operations, and customer service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multinational clients, shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, and industry partners
  • Ensure operational compliance with local and international regulations, including customs, trade, and safety standards
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the logistics and supply chain sector
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (Country Manager, Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or similar)
  • Proven track record in business development, P&L management, and team leadership within the Philippines logistics industry
  • Strong network with key industry stakeholders, government agencies, and multinational customers
  • In-depth knowledge of international freight operations, customs brokerage, warehousing, and distribution solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical, and results-driven mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
