Line Cook

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitation:

  2. Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently.

  3. Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment following established protocols.
  4. Dispose of waste properly and adhere to waste management and hygiene policies.

  5. Equipment and Supply Maintenance:

  6. Ensure dishwashing machines and cleaning tools are clean and functioning properly.

  7. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report replenishment needs.
  8. Handle all kitchen tools and equipment with care.

  9. Support to Kitchen Operations:

  10. Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries properly.

  11. Support kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness during meal prep and service.
  12. Follow food safety and health guidelines to prevent cross-contamination or hazards.

  13. Cross-Training and Flexibility:

  14. May be cross-trained to support other kitchen stations such as Stewardship, Pizzaiolo, Fry/Salad, or Dispatch.

  15. Assist in various kitchen areas as needed to ensure smooth operations and promote teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or with at least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an advantage.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent time management skills.
