Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment following established protocols.
Dispose of waste properly and adhere to waste management and hygiene policies.
Equipment and Supply Maintenance:
Ensure dishwashing machines and cleaning tools are clean and functioning properly.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report replenishment needs.
Handle all kitchen tools and equipment with care.
Support to Kitchen Operations:
Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries properly.
- Support kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness during meal prep and service.
Follow food safety and health guidelines to prevent cross-contamination or hazards.
Cross-Training and Flexibility:
May be cross-trained to support other kitchen stations such as Stewardship, Pizzaiolo, Fry/Salad, or Dispatch.
- Assist in various kitchen areas as needed to ensure smooth operations and promote teamwork.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or with at least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an advantage.
Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent time management skills.
