Description

An accounting manager oversees a company's accounting department, by supervising Manila and Cebu staff, managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and leading the accounting team. Key responsibilities include preparing and analysing financial reports, managing budgets and forecasts, overseeing daily transactions (like accounts payable, receivable and payroll preparation), and ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • In-charge in preparation of payroll.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the Managing Director.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting manager or senior accounting role
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
