Payroll Specialist

Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines Unified Accounting & Tax, LLP Full time

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Process payroll on a timely basis using Rippling, ensuring all employee hours, deductions, and benefits are accurately calculated and applied
  • Manage payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations during payroll processing
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and deductions
  • Review and process new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay increases in the system
  • Ensure proper reporting and reconciliation of payroll taxes and deductions
  • Stay up to date with payroll-related laws and regulations (e.g., tax laws, overtime rules) and ensure company payroll practices are compliant
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with audits and internal reporting
  • Provide accurate and timely reports for finance, tax filings, and management
  • Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 processing, annual tax filings, and ensuring accurate distribution of payroll-related tax documents
  • Perform additional duties related to payroll as required by the department or company
  • Utilize the Rippling software to ensure smooth payroll operations and troubleshoot any issues with the Rippling platform
  • Assist with any payroll system updates and configurations
  • Provide technical support to employees for Rippling self-service platforms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any relevant field
  • 4-5 years of experience in payroll and general accounting
  • Experience in Rippling PEO (required)
  • Proficiency in accounting software NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, and other ERP's is a plus
  • Ability to write process documents and review work papers
  • Must be willing to work following US hours
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented mindset

  • Computer Processor: Intel 8th generation or newer/AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer
  • Computer Memory/RAM: At least 16.00 GB for both primary and back up computers
  • Computer OS: Windows 11 and future enterprise operating systems
  • Storage: 500 GB SSD
  • With licensed MS Office and extra monitor
  • Internet speed must be running on a 20+ Mbps wired plan (at least 10 Mbps for back up connection)
