Overview

We are hiring a Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in VBA and Microsoft Access to design, enhance, and support custom business applications. This role focuses on developing reliable tools that improve workflow efficiency, automate data processes, and strengthen operational performance across departments. You'll be the technical lead in ensuring all database solutions are well-integrated, optimized, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain MS Access applications with advanced VBA programming.
  • Create user-friendly forms, reports, and automation scripts to streamline operations.

Database Management

  • Design and manage Access database structures with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy, data consistency, and optimal database performance.

Data Integration

  • Build and refine SQL queries, stored procedures, and data connections using ODBC and ADO.
  • Collaborate with database teams to support integration with other enterprise systems.

Requirements Gathering

  • Partner with stakeholders to collect and analyze business needs.
  • Convert functional requirements into practical, efficient software solutions.

Quality Assurance & Maintenance

  • Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain system reliability.
  • Implement development best practices and optimize existing VBA modules.

Documentation & User Support

  • Prepare clear documentation for applications, workflows, and data processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to end users when required.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT and business units to deliver system improvements.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet performance standards and business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in VBA programming and MS Access development.
  • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and ODBC integration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a passion for creating efficient, intuitive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
