Overview

We are looking for a skilled senior software developer with strong expertise in VBA and MS Access to design, develop, and maintain database-driven business applications. The ideal candidate will build efficient, scalable, and user-friendly tools that support daily operations and process automation. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that ensure data integrity, performance, and seamless integration across systems.

Key Responsibilities

VBA Programming

  • Design, develop, and maintain VBA code to automate and enhance MS Access applications.
  • Deliver efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements.

MS Access Development

  • Build and maintain MS Access databases, interfaces, forms, and reports.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

SQL Development

  • Write and optimize SQL queries using ODBC and ADO Data Access.
  • Collaborate with DBAs to support and enhance database design and performance.

Requirements Analysis

  • Gather and analyze user requirements with business analysts and stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.

Code Review & Maintenance

  • Conduct regular code reviews and enforce best development practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance VBA code for improved stability and performance.

Documentation & Support

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for VBA code, databases, and processes.
  • Prepare end-user guides and provide user training as needed.

Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate MS Access solutions with existing systems.
  • Ensure all developments align with business goals and IT standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in VBA programming and MS Access application development.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and ODBC connectivity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on performance optimization and usability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate technical concepts clearly.
