PAYROLL ASSOCIATE

About the role

As a Payroll Associate at QQ English, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees in Cebu City. This full-time role is integral to maintaining our company's financial integrity and supporting the overall wellbeing of our valued workforce.

What you'll be doing

  1. Accurately calculate and process employee payroll, including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  2. Ensure all payroll data is properly recorded and maintained in our systems.
  3. Liaise with the HR team to address any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
  4. Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and documentation.
  5. Stay up-to-date with relevant payroll regulations and legislation.
  6. Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll processing or HR operations
  • Proficient in payroll systems (e.g., Port 80 or similar HRIS) and Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliation)
  • Solid knowledge of payroll computation and statutory contributions
  • Experience in end-to-end payroll: new hire setup, regular runs, separation pay
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Maintains high confidentiality, integrity, and accountability in handling employee and financial records
  • Able to manage multiple payroll cases while ensuring accuracy and compliance

  3. Proficiency in using payroll software and accounting systems.

  6. Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
