General Role:

A key leader responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to drive a company's growth and profitability. A highly strategic, focusing on long-term market expansion and building relationships and act as a bridge between various internal departments and external partners to achieve company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning: Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to identify new markets, products, and services that align with the company's long-term objectives. This includes conducting detailed market research, analyzing trends, and assessing competitor activities.

Relationship Management: Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, vendors, and distributors. A big part of this involves networking with industry professionals to build a robust network.

Sales and Negotiations: Leading high-value contract negotiations and overseeing proposal development to secure new business. They work closely with the sales team to set targets and ensure that revenue goals are met.

Team Leadership: Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to the business development team to ensure they are equipped to meet their targets and foster their professional growth.

Reporting and Analysis: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly reporting on the success of business development initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders. They use data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is an advantage but not required.
  • A proven track record of success in business development or a related sales leadership role for more than eight years.
  • Skills: strategic thinking, leadership and management, communication and negotiation, strong analytical skills, business acumen
  • IT industry background related to smart solutions, AI training and consulting, AI security, cloud and data network is required.
