About the Role:

Wingspan Staffing is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR & Payroll Officer to support our client's growing team. This role will manage end-to-end recruitment, HR administration, and payroll processes to ensure smooth daily operations and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, shortlisting, and coordinating interviews
  • Create job postings and support employer branding initiatives
  • Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documents
  • Maintain candidate pipelines and recruitment databases

HR Operations

  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is up to date
  • Support performance management and HR compliance processes
  • Address staff queries related to HR policies, leave, and general HR matters

Payroll Administration

  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
  • Prepare and verify payroll reports
  • Manage employee timesheets, leave entries, and required payroll adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and payroll regulations
  • Use payroll platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR and recruitment
  • Experience using Xero or QuickBooks (required)
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, onboarding/offboarding, and basic compliance
  • Experience handling payroll is essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
