What You'll Bring to the Team

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Proven background as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures
• Familiarity with Construction Management (CM) Software (e.g., Procore) preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payment processing
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in the construction industry considered an advantage

Your Day-to-Day Impact

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including receiving, verifying, coding, and posting vendor invoices against contracts and purchase orders
• Process weekly payments for approved invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor and maintain AP aging reports, resolve outstanding balances, and apply necessary credit memos
• Reconcile vendor statements monthly and address discrepancies promptly
• Collaborate with other departments to confirm equipment and product purchases comply with company policies
• Verify subcontractor billed hours, bonuses, and project expenses for accuracy before payment
• Prepare and execute electronic transfers and payments according to payment schedules
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation
• Communicate professionally with vendors to resolve payment inquiries, disputes, and maintain positive relationships
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of the accounts payable function
• Assist with other accounting-related tasks as required
