Job Description
As an Accountant, you'll handle end-to-end financial reporting, taxation, bookkeeping, and compliance processes for global clients. You'll ensure accuracy, efficiency, and integrity across all deliverables while contributing to international best practices in finance.

The Qualifications We Seek
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in:
- APS (practice management)
- CLASS (superannuation funds)
- NowInfinity (ASIC lodgements)
- MYOB (AccountRight and Essentials)
- Xero (client files)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in deliverables
Your Daily Tasks
Preparation of Financial Accounts (Quarterly Management/Tax Planning and Year-End)
- Review clients' accounting software data (MYOB/Xero).
- Prepare and reconcile working papers for income, expenses, and balance sheet items.
- Prepare management reports and trial balances for manager review.
- Print final accounts and prepare minutes, letters, and invoices.
Bookkeeping and Reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
- Verify, allocate, and post transactions to balance subsidiary accounts.
Taxation and Compliance
- Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, and SMSFs.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) returns.
- Calculate GST, FBT, and other relevant tax provisions and deferred taxes.
Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF)
- Prepare statutory financial accounts for SMSFs, including investment analysis and revaluation.
- Calculate imputation credits, capital gains, and member allocations.
- Prepare audit-related documentation and compliance reports.
Statutory and ASIC Responsibilities
- Prepare documents for new entity setup, TFN, ABN, GST, PAYG, and Workcover registration.
- Manage company changes including names, addresses, share transfers, and director updates.
- Review annual company statements and ensure ATO correspondence is addressed promptly.
Advisory and Client Support
- Provide bookkeeping support and advice for MYOB Accounting Plus and Xero users.
- Assist with year-end Workcover reconciliations and annual PAYG/STP compliance.
- Demonstrate initiative, productivity (approx. 85%), and effective time management.
