The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees the entire accounts receivable function of the organization. This role ensures timely and accurate billing, efficient collections, and the maintenance of healthy cash flow. The manager is responsible for supervising AR staff, implementing policies and controls, and providing financial insights related to receivables.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate invoicing, collections, and posting of customer payments.
  • Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Monitor aging reports and key metrics to maintain optimal cash flow and reduce overdue accounts.
  • Handle escalated customer billing issues, disputes, and payment negotiations.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and finance departments to resolve discrepancies and improve billing accuracy.
  • Prepare regular AR reports for senior management, including aging analysis, cash forecasts, and collection performance.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate receivable data.
  • Manage credit risk assessments and establish credit limits for new and existing customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop AR team members to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of AR processes, credit management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
