The
Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager
is responsible for overseeing the company's billing, collections, and receivables processes to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions and efficient cash flow management. The role involves managing the AR team, developing credit and collection strategies, resolving escalated customer issues, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervise and lead the accounts receivable team, including billing, credit control, and collections staff.
· Oversee the end-to-end AR process to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper account reconciliation.
· Develop and implement credit and collection policies to minimize financial risk.
· Monitor customer account activity and prepare regular aging reports, highlighting overdue accounts.
· Work closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams to resolve disputes and improve customer payment behavior.
· Manage cash application processes and ensure proper allocation of payments.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual AR reports and provide analysis to management.
· Forecast cash collections and support cash flow management.
· Identify process improvements and implement best practices for AR operations.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
