We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Preparer Assistant to support our tax professionals during peak seasons and throughout the year. The ideal candidate will assist with tax preparation tasks, ensure accurate documentation, and provide excellent client support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of individual and business tax returns (T1/T2/T5 or 1040/1120, depending on jurisdiction)
  • Organize and review client-provided tax documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Enter financial data into tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks Pro Tax, Drake, TaxSlayer, or similar)
  • Support senior tax preparers by conducting basic calculations and reconciliations
  • Communicate with clients to collect missing documentation or clarify tax-related information
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records of tax files
  • Assist with e-filing processes and ensure timely submission of tax returns
  • Stay updated on relevant tax deadlines and compliance requirements
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and responding to client inquiries

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or working towards) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience as a Tax Assistant, Bookkeeper, or Administrative Assistant in a financial setting is a plus
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting and tax principles
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with corporate and personal tax filings
  • Knowledge of local, state/provincial, and federal tax regulations
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Pro Tax, or other tax platforms

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From Php200.00 per hour
