Senior IT Engineer Active Directory

Your tasks

As an Senior IT Engineer Active Directory (m/f/diverse) you are part of a motivated, collaborative and skilled team of Directory Services Specialists in a global environment which is managing our enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting complex AD issues, ensuring the stability, security, efficiency of our directory services and collaborating with other IT teams and service providers to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of Active Directory in a MS TIER-Model
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex AD-related issues in close cooperation with the specialists, external partners, vendors and other IT teams
• Develop and enforce AD security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Perform regular audits and health checks of the AD environment to identify and resolve potential issues
• Ensure synchronization of Entra ID data from on-premises Active Directory
• Consulting and 3rd Level Support for Active Directory, Azure AD and Federation Services for all internal customers in Continental
• Assist customers in implementing Active Directory services or linking their services to Active Directory
• Analysis, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies related to Active Directory in ContiTech
• Participating in IT and business projects related to Active Directory implementation in ContiTech
• Develop and maintain documentation for AD configurations, processes, and procedures

Your profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Experience in AD service administration in a multi-domain forest, enterprise environment
• Experience in installing Domain Controllers, maintaining and troubleshooting AD site and services and FRS/DFSR replication structures
• Strong knowledge of AD replication, topology, troubleshooting, monitoring and auditing tools
• Experiences in scripting with PowerShell.
• Good knowledge in Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022
• Familiarity with AD integration with other systems and applications
• Basic server hardware knowledge
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA and Experience in managing Entra ID and with Red Forest administration is a plus
• Knowledge of ITIL with respect to Incident and Change Management is a plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
• Ability to creatively solve problems with minimal guidance, while maintaining a timely, cost-effective approach
