About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems / Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support enterprise IT systems across servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud platforms. This role combines advanced technical support, infrastructure management, and client collaboration, ensuring system stability, security, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management
: Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networks, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). - System Administration
: Manage Active Directory, Office 365, Windows/Linux servers, Azure, and AWS environments. - Troubleshooting & Support
: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for desktops, servers, and core business applications. - Networking & Security
: Administer WAN/LAN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routers, and VPN solutions. - Cloud & Virtualization
: Support Azure, AWS, and virtual environments; ensure smooth integrations and scalability. - Disaster Recovery
: Develop and manage backup/recovery solutions, perform root cause analysis, and ensure business continuity. - Patch & Capacity Management
: Apply patches, monitor performance, and recommend hardware/software upgrades. - Documentation & Tools
: Maintain accurate system documentation in ConnectWise; use monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, SCCM). - Collaboration & Projects
: Work with clients and vendors to deliver IT solutions; lead upgrades, migrations, and deployments. - Continuous Improvement
: Stay updated on cybersecurity, automation, and emerging technologies to optimize performance and security.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of IT experience
supporting international clients (US/EMEA/AUS). - Strong knowledge of
Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, and AWS
. - Experience with
Windows/Linux servers
,
VMware/Hyper-V
, and
cloud platforms
. - Solid grasp of
networking protocols, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs
. - Familiarity with
backup/disaster recovery solutions
and
cybersecurity best practices
. - Proficiency in
scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
for automation. - Excellent
communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills
. - Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
