Job description:

Job Summary:

The HR Officer – Legal & Compliance is responsible for handling employee cases, ensuring the company complies with labor laws, and representing the company in hearings at DOLE and NLRC. The role also prepares government reports, maintains case and compliance trackers, updates company policies, and provides guidance to management and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle employee disciplinary and administrative cases, ensuring due process.
  • Attend hearings, inspections, and mediations at DOLE, NLRC and other government agencies
  • Prepare and submit DOLE-required reports (WAIR, AERW, OSH reports, etc.)
  • Maintain records and trackers of cases, reports, and compliance documents
  • Submit regular compliance and case reports to management
  • Recommend and draft updates or amendments to company policies and practices
  • Advise management and coordinate with other departments on employee relations and compliance issues
  • Be part of relevant committees (e.g., compliance, grievance, OSH)
  • Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations to keep the company updated

Qualifications

  • Graduate of HR, Legal, or related course (Law background is a plus)
  • at least 3 years' HR experience in employee relations, compliance, or legal work
  • Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE requirements, and NLRC processes
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
