Pre-Sales Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical work.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs for electrical systems (e.g., power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems).
  • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for each project.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals and quotations to clients or internal departments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders during the design and construction phases.
  • Monitor actual costs during the construction phase and compare with estimates to improve future accuracy.
  • Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and records.
  • All other related duties and responsibilities necessary to the abovementioned and as may be determined by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum [2–5] years of experience in electrical estimating or a related engineering role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating or related engineering roles is required.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical plans and technical specifications.
  • Familiar with estimating software and tools (e.gAutoCAD, MS Excel).
  • Experience with both AutoCAD and MS Excel is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
