Job Summary

The Engineering Head will lead and manage the entire Engineering Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, competitive, and timely engineering outputs for all pre-sales and post-sales activities within the general contracting and construction industry. This role is responsible for overseeing bid preparation, technical evaluations, project handovers, and ensuring engineering practices are aligned with the latest technological advancements to maintain the company's competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, guide, and manage the entire Engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Bidding & Pre-Sales Activities

  • Organize and lead inspection visits, bid conferences, and preparation of bid proposals.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks of bid proposals, reviewing each line item for completeness, accuracy of quantities, unit costs, and applied formulas.
  • Attend bid conferences and clarification meetings, representing the company in a professional and competent manner.
  • Ensure all pre-sales drawings, designs, and documentation are prepared accurately, reviewed, and submitted on or ahead of deadlines.
  • Maintain up-to-date and competitive unit costs to enhance project-winning potential.

Project Kick-Off & Handover

  • Lead project kick-off meetings and ensure the effective transfer of technical knowledge to the post-sales or project execution team.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth transitions and clarity of project scope, design intent, and technical specifications.

Technical Advancement & Quality Standards

  • Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment used in projects are compliant with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.
  • Promote innovation and efficiency in engineering processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and meet client expectations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Licensed Civil Engr.
  • Master's Degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRC License) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering management role.
  • Proven experience in bid preparation, cost estimation, and project handovers within the general contracting sector.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge in construction engineering, cost estimation, and project planning.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office applications.
  • Compressed Working Schedule: Monday to Thursday :8am-7pm and Friday-8am-5pm
  • Can start immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
