Job Summary:

The Safety Officer is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. The main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the Health and Safety of all employees and of the workplace.
  • Ensures the compliance of the company OSH standards being set and enforced by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); prepare and submit required documents
  • Serves as the Secretary (Safety and Health Officer) to the OSH Committee of the company; ensured that OSH Committee members functions at their best.
  • Creates and Implements Health & Safety policies and programs of the World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment.
  • Monitors, assesses, and documents workplace hazards and unsafe situations and develops measures/interventions to assure employees' safety.
  • Report to the Director/Technical Head as overseeing head.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a certified Safety Officer
  • DOLE-accredited and knowledgeable in OSH Standards
  • Familiar with DENR regulations and basic environmental compliance
  • Knowledgeable in chemical safety, GMP, and risk assessment
  • Skilled in emergency response, waste management, and safety documentation
  • Proficient in MS Office; able to lead safety trainings and toolbox talks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php21, Php23,000.00 per month
