About the role

As an Import Manager at Corporate Resources Group (CRG) Services Corp.', you will play a crucial role in managing the company's import operations. Based in Santolan Pasig City Metro Manila, this full-time position will see you overseeing the entire import process, from customs clearance to inventory management. Your expertise in import/export and customs procedures will be invaluable in streamlining our supply chain and ensuring seamless product flow.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinate and oversee all import-related activities, including customs clearance, documentation, and logistics. Review, and process import documentation (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.)
  2. Manage import budgets and monitor costs to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of imported goods
  4. Stay abreast of changes in import regulations and customs procedures, and implement necessary adjustments
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, suppliers, and logistics providers
  6. Analyze import data and produce reports to support strategic decision-making
  7. Provide guidance and training to the import/export team to enhance their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar import management role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
  2. In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements. Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
  3. Proven ability to manage complex logistics operations and coordinate cross-functional teams. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in import processes.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement process improvements. Resolve issues related to shipments, customs holds, or discrepancies in documentation.
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Communicate with brokers. Forwarders, and BOC as needed.  Responsible for sourcing, validating and auditing brokers and logistics vendors; Manage and coordinate the importation of goods and ensure compliance with all government regulations related to importation;
  6. Familiarity with relevant software and technologies used in import/export operations
  7. Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
