The Import Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to the importation of goods. This includes ensuring compliance with customs regulations, preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, monitoring shipments, and collaborating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, review, and process import documentation (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
  • Classify goods according to HS codes and determine applicable duties and taxes.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import activities for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Resolve issues related to shipments, customs holds, or discrepancies in documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in import processes.

Qualification Standards:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, HTS/HS codes, and import compliance.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Customs Broker License (a plus, depending on role).
  • Familiarity with customs laws, importation laws and procedures (INCOTERMS)

Pay: Php20, Php30,000.00 per month
