JOB PURPOSE:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the importation process of our company, ensuring global compliance with established regulations in order to maintain smooth supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership and communication skills, who is dedicated to ensuring the successful importation of goods into our company.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Lead and supervise the Importation team to ensure the smooth running of operations.
  • Ensure that all importation activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the team on matters related to importation.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for effective importation management, including managing inventory levels and tracking shipments.
  • Ensuring clearing of all importation in a timely manner and coordinated properly with the Broker.
  • Monitors and update all shipment information such as departure, berthing arrivals, storage, demurrage and other shipment related info.
  • Oversee the receipt and processing of all import documentation, including customs clearance, shipping and delivery processes.
  • Work closely with Brokers, freight forwarders and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient importation of goods.

    Ensuring that all details in the document are accurate and consistent, such as purchase order, payment terms, POD, draft BL, insurance and other importation related documents.
  • Bills monitoring reports, to be submitted monthly.
  • Prepare final summary of expenses for each shipment.
  • Provide daily updated shipment information according to their itineraries and arrivals.
  • Prepare RFP (Request for Fund), funding for standard clearance charges of shipment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Graduate of any 4 years course: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customs or a related field
  • 1 to 2 years related experience in a leadership role in a logistics or supply chain environment and shipment clearing
  • Strong knowledge of import regulations and customs procedures
  • Experience working with ERP systems and warehouse management systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, stakeholders and international partners
