About the role

The Holiday Plaza Hotel in Cebu Central Visayas is seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and drive innovation within our renowned hospitality establishment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and lead a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff to deliver an outstanding dining experience for our guests
  2. Design and develop innovative menus that showcase your culinary flair and expertise, incorporating local and seasonal ingredients
  3. Oversee the efficient and cost-effective management of the kitchen, including inventory control, budgeting, and resource allocation
  4. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the kitchen
  5. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing mentorship and training to your team
  6. Collaborate with the hotel management team to align the culinary offerings with the overall brand strategy and guest expectations
  7. Represent the hotel at industry events and engage with the local culinary community

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience (8+ years) as an Executive Chef or in a similar senior culinary leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Proven track record of creating and executing successful, innovative menus that cater to diverse guest preferences
  3. Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation
  4. Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a talented team of chefs and kitchen staff
  5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  6. Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and a commitment to sustainable food practices
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, staff, and industry partners
